SUMMARY:OVR SCCA Solo 2023 Stanberry Cup & Fun Event
DESCRIPTION:This is a Special Event.  \nThis event will be dedicated to the Lynn Stanberry Fund. Started in 2002\, this fund\, voted upon by the Solo Chair and Solo Chiefs\, was created in memory of Lynn Stanberry to recognize her support of OVR’s Solo program even when she was very ill. It was Lynn’s desire to see more women involved in motorsports\, and this award is given to a female member of OVR whose active participation\, whether through competition\, promotion or support of OVR’s events\, furthers the OVR Solo program. OVR’s Solo program has made a commitment to supporting programs that increase breast cancer awareness\, education and research. Select funds raised by the OVR Region (through fun runs or otherwise) throughout the season are devoted to The Stanberry Cup Cancer Fund\, with at least one Solo event being dedicated to raising funds in support of this cause. \nThis event will also be run as a Fun Event. There are no points\, no class awards and no pressure. Just come out\, have fun and contribute to funding cancer research.
